When a restripe request needs more than a space count

Questions that distinguish a simple refresh from a layout discussion.

A space count is helpful, but it does not describe every marking or site condition. Two lots with the same number of spaces can call for different discussions if one has arrows, loading areas, damaged markings, or a proposed layout change.

Are the current markings the intended layout?

If the existing lines are in the right places and only need refreshing, say so. If circulation, stall positions, or a special-use area should change, identify that as a separate question. Avoid assuming old markings are an approved plan for new work.

Which markings are included?

List stalls, arrows, curb markings, stencils, loading areas, fire lane markings, and accessible parking markings that need review. For regulated markings, the property should provide its applicable plans or requirements for the specific location. The website does not determine code compliance.

What could affect execution?

Note faded or conflicting lines, repairs, islands, gates, and areas that cannot be cleared all at once. Wide photos and a marked-up plan can make these details easier to discuss. RAVFIA reviews the information before quoting or confirming a schedule.
